Indication/Uses: 

Atorvastatin Calcium (Cholecur) 40mg Film Coated Tablets are indicated and used for the following purposes:

Indications:

1. Primary Hypercholesterolemia:
   • Including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and non-familial forms.
2. Mixed Dyslipidemia:
   • To reduce elevated total cholesterol (Total-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (Apo B), and triglycerides (TG) and to increase high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).
3. Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease:
   • To reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, revascularization procedures, and angina in patients without clinically evident coronary heart disease but with multiple risk factors.
4. Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH):
   • As an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (e.g., LDL apheresis) or if such treatments are unavailable.
5. Primary Prevention in Patients with Multiple Risk Factors for Coronary Heart Disease:
   • Including those with diabetes, hypertension, and a family history of early coronary heart disease.
