Dosage and Administration

Pediatric Dosage:
- General Infection: The typical dosage for children is 10 mg/kg on the first day (maximum of 500 mg), followed by 5 mg/kg (maximum of 250 mg) once daily on days 2 through 5.
- Otitis Media: A single dose of 30 mg/kg can be used as an alternative regimen.

Adult Dosage:
- Although this formulation is primarily intended for pediatric use, the equivalent adult dosage for tablets or capsules would be 500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg once daily on days 2 through 5 for respiratory tract infections.
