Indication/Uses:

Uses:

1. Analgesic (Pain Reliever):

   • Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain which helps to relieve pain.

2. Antipyretic (Fever Reducer):

   • It acts on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to produce peripheral vasodilation, leading to increased blood flow through the skin, sweating, and heat loss, which helps to reduce fever.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults and Children Over 12 Years:
  • The usual dose is 500mg to 1000mg (1 to 2 tablets) every 4 to 6 hours as needed, with a maximum of 4000mg (8 tablets) in 24 hours.
• Children Under 12 Years:
  • Dosage should be based on the child’s weight and a healthcare provider should be consulted for the appropriate dosing.
